Biffy Clyro - "Different People" Live From London

I return after an almost five years absence, due to familiar and personal problems, lost my beloved mother after a long illness (she was inspirational for me in my love for music, with her wonderful records of classic and brazilian music and also my introduction to guitar playing when she decided to learn it), and also had been moving to different houses planning my retirement of teaching at the architecture faculty and other institutes...
Here, at my new home, far away from my hometown, beginning a new life beside the sea, I'm fully involved with music again...
I recently discovered this scottish rock band (though it has more than 20 years of existence never heard about it here in South America...) that moved me as only Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd and the first Genesis did in my youth and lately maybe Cold Play and isolated songs of other groups did... If I felt Cold Play were the successors of Beatles and Pink Floyd, attending to their lyricals and musical harmonies, I don't have doubt this band is the heiress of Led Zeppelin cause they bring us the beautiest ballads but also the hardest rock moments, sometimes even in the same song, as in this one. They have also a scent of the Genesis of "Dancing with the moonlit knight" in some musical arrengements and the use of synths chords. I love the lyrics of Simon Neil with it's depth, surrealistic images, and that quote of rage and rebelion emerging in many songs...
Fascinated by this finding, happy for returning,

Ed
